I don't think the U.S. Treasury is worried about classical pieces. They aren't being faked to use in transactions.

Looks like ebay lets them get away with it. They should have employees of ebay once they spot these unethical lowlifes, they block the guy or gal from ever getting on ebay again and close his/her account. The only problem with that is he/she will just re-register as another person or user with a new profile. Thank God some of us can spot these counterfeits. There are many beginners who cannot. This is what this guy is counting on.

I suspect ebay lets these slide because either they don't have the manpower, or have figured out that fraudulent coins figure a nice percentage of their business--or a little of both. Yes, I'm cynical. They only seem to really respond when a company sends lawyers their way due to specific trademark violations. I once got the lawyers after them for the deluge of fake Swiss watches on ebay. At the time, about 1/3 to 1/4 the watches of particular makes were fake. This has made me very leery of doing business there...there are far too many sellers who prey on the naive.

Kurt, there's no other reason to let INB and SGS stay on ebay.

I'm glad ebay is only allowing PCGS,NGC,ANACS, and ICG. Tell you what, If I owned ebay and these other so called TPG's wanted to sue me for calling their "slabbed" coins raw, too bad. I would accept who I want. They don't own ebay, ebay owns ebay. ebay made a very smart move in doing this in my opinion. Keeps only the most reputable TPG's on. Go to any major coin show, over 100 tables, and you will see the above 4 almost always.

Exactly why I DON'T get excited about anything whatsoever to do with ebay......don't want to be taken advantage of !.....Swiss watches, coins, or a Lays Potato chip shaped like Jesus Christ !...(still can't believe I paid $823.00 for that chip !... )

Since SGS was mentioned... Has anyone seen that SGS is putting out COAs for their slabbed coins? What a joke. They can't tell a Fine coin from an MS70, why should we trust they can spot a counterfeit?!?

They've had those certificates ever since they started back in 2002.
