Hmmmm....
18 of 20 coins with at least SOME silver in them.
Todays buy at the shop would give you $36 for that roll.

Recently I found a roll with
12 Franklins
2 Walking Liberty
4 1964
and 1 2005.
other was a 1971.

Wow...the lucky coin fairy struck again. I stopped by my bank again and after asking if they had any half dollar rolls (which they had none) the teller did say she had $4.50 worth in her little coin separator thing at her desk. I said "sure, I'll take them" although they were loose. Well, guess what I got?
1964- 1
1967- 4
1968- 2
and a couple non-silver Kennedys

Keep in mind that silver is not the only "gold" you can find in these rolls. Since half dollars don't circulate much you can get a lot of bu coins valued at 1 to 3 dollars each if you cherry pick the very best. Don't just turn back in all the coins that are not silver without building a few half dollar sets of Kennedy's. I am here to tell you Kennedy half dollars are popular with some folks. Also don't be afraid to actually use them at your local store as other people like getting them as well. Sincerely, John Leckrone |

I know the feeling numismo, I went to 8 banks last week...nothing. Guess I'll have to wait until my box comes in. 2000 halves only silver a 1944. But when I get a new box it still makes me feel like a kid, all hopeful and excited. Its fun though.
