I would have just had the coin reholderd for a small fee . Would have cost you less than what you paid for NOVUS #1,2 and 3

I did not know that! Thanks T-BOP.
One of the questions I had was about the dint on the cheek bone. From the
Red Book, "At MS-65 and higher ... no contact marks are visible except under magnification." I cannot see the ding without magnification (with my glasses on), so I was thinking it's a factor in terms of eye appeal, but not grading.
I also wondered if it's RB or RD. Again from the
Red Book, "Coins with full or nearly full mint orange-red color can be designated RD; ...."
I agree that the reverse is particularly nice and definitely MS-67. I was thinking 65/66 for the obverse, with an overall grade of MS-66-RD.
NGC's grade is MS-67-RD, which I thought was (is) a bit of a stretch.
I'm selling the coin on
ebay currently, so we'll see what the free market concludes. I am very honest and thorough in my
ebay listings, which tends to yield lower sales prices, but I sleep well at night.

Thanks so much for your responses!
Mark
P.S. On a completely unrelated, but interesting topic, I was intrigued by Spruett's Lucretius quote in his signature. I did a little searching around, summarized in a post I made at StackExchange/Latin-Language. A really smart person responded to my question about the proper translation of Lucretius' words into English.
