Results from NGC. I'm somewhat amazed at this find. It's by far the most valuable token I have found "in the wild". I got this distinct impression this was someones junk box. Anyone old enough to remember token collecting in the 60's and 70's? Could this have been considered junk back then?

Glad it came back authentic, dar! That's a rare one too. Yes back in those days of the 60's, everything was considered junk, from Morgans ($1) to pop bottles.

Hawaii's first Olympic Gold Medalist, Duke Kahanamoku, 1912 Helsinki 100-meter freestyle. This is a lowly elongated penny I discovered in my collection recently. There are several beautiful medallions from the past that honor this legendary athlete.

Here is a 1959 Hawaii Flag Day so-called dollar from the Jeff Shevlin collection. These were struck in nickel silver in both coin and medal alignment, but I'm not sure which was the more common alignment.
