I had almost given up on the picture better late than never

I believe that your coin is the normal 35% silver planchet. From what I can tell it seems most if not all of the silver alloy nickel when in this condition have a gray tint to them.

@OP > Your 35% silver War Nickel looks cleaned and turned light grey , that's why it looks like a regular pre 1942 Nickel .

Back to the drop test I drop 10 silver nickels all gave that high pitch ping did 5 pre War Nickels and 5 after War Nickels more of a doll thus just like this coin here and you ca. See the copper coming out on this coin

Look we realize that your a new member so we're trying to inform you peacefully without hostilities that the copper just doesn't start coming out of a War Nickel that has a composition of Manganese, silver and copper .

The weight (4.7g) is exactly what you would expect for a circulated War Nickel, which this clearly is.

Last post on this comical thread, which I'm sorry I got sucked into.
