Way too many marks for anything UNC ... maybe details with damage/possible cleaning.

Not able to take it out of the flip for pictures?
So far MS60 or 61, but with bad rim hit and fingerprints.
I agree with purelywasted: If buying, need to examine this one in hand.

If that's an ICCS flip, I would venture an AU 55 - rim damage or Ms 62 - cleaned/rim damage.

Looks to me to like it was cleaned and retoned. Rim damage is also a problem. Unc Details.

AT first glance it looks really nice. Nice strike, maybe MS64.....then all the little issues become apparent, as previously mentioned. I'm not a fan of the russet toning on the reverse. I'm thinking MS62 with a qualifier.

I like the toning. Not necessarily the finger prints, but overall nice colouring.
AU55 because of the rim kick and a couple other marks.

Coin sold for $1173 Canadian. Not out of line for a 48.

Seems fair. All in, a nice-looking example.

Interesting that the "GEOR" has partly been mechanically flattened/abraded, not unlike a couple other '48's I've seen fairly recently.

'Details' grade for sure as it's been played with in some way.
$1100 seems about right.
