I would actually like to see one chrome plated, if for no other reason than to see how it would photograph. The plating couldn't be too thick, though. Otherwise, it would probably look similar to a brilliant SMS nickel.

They are alot harder to take pictures of but here's a couple. The edge is the part I worry people will mistake for silver.

Could be but they go all the way through, with minimal change in angle, and no obvious increase in size on the reverse. Pretty sure they are just holes someone drilled.

I do not like plated coins (outside of the mint) in general. I consider them damaged coins, maybe that's just me though.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I do not behold them. That being said, even a novelty coin can spark an interest in the hobby, so they have some intrinsic value.

At this point in my coin collecting life, I'm indifferent. Of course that may change as I get even older.

I like Ikes. Period. Plated ones need love, too.

Would I put them in my set? No. But I would keep them in my miscellaneous album just for the fun of it.

I'd like a purple one myself, the only one I've ever found was purple, and only because it was covered in crystals. It tasted weird and it's now gone, but I do think I've kept 1 plated one as an example.

It was an admittedly bad idea but I couldn't resist.
