I would actually like to see one chrome plated, if for no other reason than to see how it would photograph. The plating couldn't be too thick, though. Otherwise, it would probably look similar to a brilliant SMS nickel.

They are alot harder to take pictures of but here's a couple. The edge is the part I worry people will mistake for silver.    I would say the first picture is upside-down just for Jbuck but its just a happy accident.

I do not like plated coins (outside of the mint) in general. I consider them damaged coins,maybe that's just me though. John1

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I do not behold them. That being said, even a novelty coin can spark an interest in the hobby, so they have some intrinsic value.

I like Ikes. Period. Plated ones need love, too.  Would I put them in my set? No. But I would keep them in my miscellaneous album just for the fun of it.

It tasted weird and it's now gone, but I do think I've kept 1 plated one as an example.
