I followed the link RG placed in the Australian Coins, Tokens and Banknotes Forum... which I found by following the link Lim placed in the ebay Australia coin forum... which I found, after a couple of years of quiet coin buying on ebay, by noticing the "Community" button and thinking "I wonder what that button does?". I used to have free time before I pressed that button...  Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. I was searching google for information on a 1878 8Tf VAM variety and found rujam's question about his 1878 8TF VAM-20 and I read all the information he was getting so figured I would join and ask about my coin in question and have been here since then and have gained so much knowledge on things I would have never thought about learning about 6 months ago. Everyone made me feel at home here (I too was one surfing coin forums trying to find a good place) even though I was a new collector and knew very little about any certain thing. I now find myself checking and posting about 15-20 times a day just to see what new topics people are talking about. |

Hey I just found this thread........its a wonder I found this place at all....haaaaaaaa........actually I was invited to participate in the new forum here sometime ago by Susan I believe.....I too had been a CW "castaway" but had already set up my own place on MSN sometime before it closed down......I missed alot of the old gang and dropped into Coin Talk on occasion to see some of them.......as soon as I saw that there was indeed a new forum going on I had to check it out!! I try to balance my time between here and a "few" other places to keep in touch with all that is going on in the coin kingdom!!.....The rest is history! I do enjoy the forum here very much and like reading all the posts......Good Job to all those involved!

I used Google too, found a few differnt forums but some that I read were really kind of more about getting post counts up and did not feel "family" friendly like this one! Glad I found this place!
