 To the CCF! Looks like a MAD or Misaligned die error to me. This is common and not usually worth a premium unless some of the devices are missing. |

Its possible that your MAD penny will look normal after a short period- I'm seeing rims on coins changing orientation-I was befuddled but metal circles havr been ebbing and flowing in a way that has caught mu eye- this morning pennies were contacting and expanding horizontilly and vertically- its not an illusion although illusions are a byproduct..

Unfortunate, the penny is an offset dime, which is pretty common, and not worth much.

I too was wondering what the heck is an "offset dime"? and I am puzzled by the "this morning pennies were contacting and expanding horizontilly and vertically- its not an illusion although illusions are a byproduct" comment as well. Must be something in the water, lol.   |

As far as the dime comparison goes, a slightly misaligned die is more noticeable on a dime than other coins because of the smaller diameter. That's all I can think of, but OP's coin is definitely not a dime.
