Two different cents with the same type of imaginary errors using the same photo mixer app by the same person? Waste of time.

For those talking about the second picture being photoshopped (and giving ridicule): The OP posted: 1. A plain picture of the front. 2. A photo mixed picture (which is why it says "Ultimate Photo Mixer") to show how he sees an Indian outline in the first photo. A good way to chase away people from this family friendly forum is to immediately assume the worst or be looking for ways to ridicule. Had the OP not put the first picture up, then I would agree he was not asking a legitimate question. Read...stop... think...post.

My apologies Silvercents. The op posted a 1917 LWC claiming to be struck with a Buffalo nickel in a separate thread. I was referring to both coins posted by the same op.

Oh I understand. No need to apologize, it was my fault for misunderstanding. Thank you though, and I agree with you on that case, it does seem like a waste of time.

Earle42 was right, second photo was to show us what the op was seeing...however MC remember a buff nickel is not the same size of a quarter

You know, Earle is right. Maybe I should not have been so quick. We were all new at this at one time.

The easy way to prove that this is just Pareidolia is to look at the edge of the coin. Since 1985 quarters were produced on clad stock, you should be able to see the copper layer between the two cupro-nickel clad layers. Buffalo nickels were not clad, so there will be no copper layer in the middle.

Stuff like this is one of the reasons why I've lost interest in the whole error/variety/double die section of the community.

Guys come on, this is just one thing. Sure I mean this posting wasn't very...interesting or legitimete, but come on. He/She is learning. Give him a break, he'll learn. And Calzone, this is one of the very few topics posted on here that has been somewhat silly. Maybe you aren't on here, as in this specific section, to judge. Maybe try taking a step back and not casting harsh views on the rest of us that try to put effort into contributing.
Everyone just move on and please be a KIND community. We are all learning, we've all been at this stage.

Has everyone figured out yet that Michael is laughing at everyone here. He has two coins with both coins having over strikes with the same 1917 Buffalo nickle. He should be warned to knock it off our face reprimand. Some of us take this very seriously and don't appreciate the foolish childish playing around. Rant over sorry. Dan

Perhaps this thread should have been posted elsewhere, anywhere else than here on "Modern Variety and Error Coins". Is there a place within our Communities titled "Jokes and other Pranks"? Here in "Varieties and Errors" we are here to help answer legitimate questions and concerns and to help educate newcomers. It wasn't even April Fools Day, but we got taken.
We're here to help. All legit questions welcomed!
