AU58. any gold that was even close to circulating will be scratched. this is always taken into consideration at a TPG. I think this one weathered the storm well. I'm just not a fan of the blotchy color if that's accurate in the photos. gold can be tricky to grade by photo

Funny panzaldi isn't a fan of the blotchy color and that's what I see and like about this specific coin. Assuming this is the way that gold tones it's beautiful in my opinion.

Very slight rub on leading wing tip? AU-58.

toning is in the eye of the beholder. some like it, some don't. I'm only a fan when its even on both sides and enhances the coins eye appeal. I never buy any coin based on the toning as over time that can change, sometimes for the worse

I am not surprised with the range of grade opinions so far.
That is due to the incuse design of BLP coins.

To help yourself:
Have a look with the aid of a powerful loupe at the high points of the design, both sides
eagle:- eyebrow, high points of the feathers, top of the leading edge of the wing,
Indian:- bonnet bindings and feather detail.
overall:- the number and severity of nicks in the fields.

I am in the AU-58 camp.

the lack of extensive rub on the high points for me makes this a definite MS coin. Cant see this being AU honestly but these are very tough to grade

Im gonna have to take some luster pics in the next few days. Its a 64 according to PCGS. I think the pictures highlight every mark, but it looks much better in hand. I personally like the colors.

PCGS thinks it's better than I thought it was but they got to see it with a hands-on exam. That'll always be an advantage!

Nice coin no matter what it graded! Congrats!

Looks like some great color. I'd trust the in hand assessment over photos. Very nice coin!

ok muddy...after seeing this piece on the holder I hereby retract my previous comment regarding the color. I think your photos were so good and showed every little nuance of the surfaces but stepping back in the photo in the holder it does have a nice color to it. I humbly seek your acceptance
