I've never tried to grade one of these but my guess is MS-64?
Lots of surface scratches it seems.

AU-58 is my guess, but these are notoriously hard to grade for me.

AU58. any gold that was even close to circulating will be scratched. this is always taken into consideration at a TPG. I think this one weathered the storm well. I'm just not a fan of the blotchy color if that's accurate in the photos. gold can be tricky to grade by photo

Funny panzaldi isn't a fan of the blotchy color and that's what I see and like about this specific coin. Assuming this is the way that gold tones it's beautiful in my opinion.

Quote: Funny panzaldi isn't a fan of the blotchy color toning is in the eye of the beholder. some like it, some don't. I'm only a fan when its even on both sides and enhances the coins eye appeal. I never buy any coin based on the toning as over time that can change, sometimes for the worse

I am not surprised with the range of grade opinions so far. That is due to the incuse design of BLP coins.
To help yourself: Have a look with the aid of a powerful loupe at the high points of the design, both sides eagle:- eyebrow, high points of the feathers, top of the leading edge of the wing, Indian:- bonnet bindings and feather detail. overall:- the number and severity of nicks in the fields.
I am in the AU-58 camp.

the lack of extensive rub on the high points for me makes this a definite MS coin. Cant see this being AU honestly but these are very tough to grade
