I'll say MS-62 finger prints are a bummer

AU58 Fingerprint is unfortunate. Slightest rubs on high points.

63

The fingerprints really distract.

Candidate for a crackout and "conservation".

Just don't understand the appeal of this coin at basically a typical market price. No upside here that I can see.

coin has booming uninterrupted luster. I don't find the fingerprint that distracting. love the coin and prefer it to a white, dipped example. john albanese likes to say that hundred year old silver isn't bright white and rolls his eyes at coin collectors who want costume jewelry rather than original oxidation. netnet I like this coin -- a lot.

This is another 1892 quarter I sold a while back and was blast white. I prefer the one in this thread.

To each his own for sure. Can you give us the grades on both of these coins, please?

I said 48, but I quess most have seen it.

This one above I sold for $387 @ MS62

This one is MS63. I think it is better than the one above. It has almost no marks and was, I believe, downgraded on eye appeal by NGC. Very happy to have paid $277 for this one.

No question the 63 has eye appeal over the 62.

Nice coin!
