I've heard that the virus dies in the heat of the Summer (maybe that was bad information)

Correct that this is bad information. It is a new virus. Nobody knows how it responds to seasonal temperature changes.

Also, consider that the virus lives and thrives inside us where the temperature is 96-99F (35.5-37 C).

Well, the Governor of Massachusetts just issued an order banning gatherings of more than 25 people at any event to run from March 17th until April 17th. Seeing as how the coin show I wanted to attend was scheduled for April 17-18, I don't think I need to worry about whether to attend or not anymore.

CDC just recommended cancelling all events with more than 50 people for the next 8 weeks. That should care care of almost all coin shows.

It took 20 months to developed the SAR vaccine, hoping this isn't going to be that long.

The flu killed more people annually than this virus, our own immune system doesn't know how to completely fight it off, until some new drug in aiding our body.

They closed our schools until the end of the month (minimum). I am so glad we have embraced the Chromebook and Google Classroom revolution, which means the kids are not off the hook.

Both major broadband providers are giving non-customers free access to allow those without it now to school and work from home.

Oh, if you have Disney+ you can watch Frozen 2 right now.

Schools closed, restaurants closed, businesses closed, coin shows closed...

But on the bright side, my new coin just arrived in the mail!

Well, it's official!

The April 2020 Bay State Coin Show has been rescheduled to August 27-29. Now that I've already blown my budget for the year, however, I doubt I'll be going.

Buying from ebay has never been more gratifying now that shops and shows are closed. Even with all that's been developing within just the past week and a half I still am not worried. No, not the same as flu- but is just as concerning to me as flu is (not at all). Wash your hands folks!

Also, with the Canadian dollar worth US$0.69 - it is a real bargain for US ebay shoppers who buy from Canadian sellers.

I am impressed at the number of sales to the US I have had in the last couple of weeks, well beyond what I normally sell on a weekly basis.

Agreed. After I completed my PCGS Ike set in January, my watch list went from around 20 to two. Now it is back up to ten.

jbuck, is your PCGS Ike set in the PCGS registry? If anything, it's a good way to display your collection.

You are correct. Being a Canadian collector in the US is pretty sweet right about now. Ive bought 20 new pieces for quite a reasonable price altogether for my silver 5 cents collection. I expect CA$ will go up in the near future at least a little bit, but its been very slowly losing value over time. Who can tell for sure, not me!

Nope. It is in the "CCF Registry" though. Link in the sig.

I have thought about putting it in the PCGS registry and if things slow down I might make that a project.
