Thank you for the info. A couple of questions:
1. Given the current production "suspension", when will these coins actually ship?
2. Is the second coin in the 2020 1/2oz Silver 6-coin subscription set part of the April release?
Cheers to all!

After placing my current order with my Rep (who I believe is working from home) His confirmation e-mail included the following line:
"The coins will not be available for a few months"

Very understandable. I hope folks don't get selfish and complain about the delay. Few of us are working under normal conditions at this point! Collectible coins are certainly 'non-essential' items!

From My Rep: Quote: As you are aware, our shipping departement is closed. Your order will leave once it reopens in mid to late April.

New coins have been listed across the dealers.
Noticed, that 1/10 oz gold "Colville legacy" coin seems to be popular. priced bit high, imo.
Was surprised to see, that despite the current situation / crisis / low operation period, the prices not discounted.
Lovely by many, annual (since 2011) Maple Leaf "Forever" 1/2 oz silver coin, released under "O! Canada" label , with mintage of 10.000 and priced CAD 49.95 I will wait with this for sure.....unless my Canada Post branch will put it on display and it will be great looking.

That frankly expedition piece actually sounds like something I would buy, maybe when the prices go down.

I would be a quick buyer of a silver dollar that featured the design used on the 10 oz Liberation of the Netherlands coin.
I don't collect 10 oz coins, but I like the way the piece illustrates a scene from history. I guess I'll have to enjoy it vicariously through images!

I didn't get an email from my rep saying the RCM shipping was department was closed. Yesterday, April 9, I received an email with a shipping notice and tracking number from RCM for one of the April releases. Tracking number shows the item was actually shipped out on April 9. On the RCM web page for that item, it shows that it ships Jun-01-2020.

Due to the suspension of certain operations as the Mint manages the health and safety of its employees during the COVID-19 pandemic, customer purchases will be safely held at the Mint until shipping can resume. You can read more here: https://www.mint_ca/store/news/the-...SLogout=trueSorry, just couldn't make the link work... go to mint_ca and in the search type in 'Covid'.

Thank you, very nice topic to read.
In our urban area, nowdays to wait in the line 15-25 minutes to enter large grocery store it is normal, no complaints. But there you will not find sanitizes of any kind and liquid hand soap, while toilet paper 1 pack per household. Stuff explains, that all these items produced in China, and now nothing from there enters Canada.

Looking at the New Releases page on the RCM web site makes one thing fairly clear: the Mint has at least 500 to 1,500 well-heeled collectors who enjoy buying its low mintage-high price offerings. Of the 13 items listed on the New Releases page, five of them are marked "Sold Out." Each of these coins has a mintage of 750 or less; four of the five have mintages between just 99 and 550. The 750 mintage coin (Franklin's Lost Expedition, $50 silver, five ounces) has an issue price of $580 CAD, the others range from $1,145 to $14,750 CAD. IMO, these coins will never be in the mainstream of Canadian NCLT collecting because they are one-off issues with too few available to create a meaningful number of collectors who pursue them (a big driver behind the softness seen in the secondary market for many such issues). That said, it's likely that those who collect them, enjoy them for their exclusivity and that's great. The hobby can support all types of collectors!
