They've gotta do something to justify the price increases. Personally I like them. I intend to scale back a lot on my mint purchases, but I'll be continuing the annual sets so I am enjoying these bonuses. My only "complaint" is that no manufacturer has slots for them in their albums.

I've been putting in albums that I have like the reverse proof nickel went in the bison nickel album and 2 w cents went to the Dansco cent album.

I have both sets and to me the standard proof looks much better. Not to say anything bad about the reverse proof, both should grade a 69 minimum should I choose. Flawless.

I just got an empty Whitman and pages for pennies, nickles, dimes and quarters so I can put the special issues, like the S quarters and such, in their own albums. At least thats the thought. We will see how it goes. LOL

I have been using a "blank page" Dansco album to hold the modern coins once the appropriate Dansco was filled. It was easier than replacing several binders to fit more pages.

I really should learn my lesson with these oddball new issues every year. I buy asap to keep up my complete sets for fear of missing out. I just bought another pair shipped for total $27.98. I probably paid at least twice that amount for one of either of these when they first came out. I figured buying the second pair will offset my overpaying the first time around. I hope I don't see these for $9.99 free shipping next month. Or will I buy another set then?

For $100 you could have gotten both proof and silver proof sets, including the 2 special nickels. Quote: I hope I don't see these for $9.99 free shipping next month. Or will I buy another set then? Heck, I'd buy a set for $10.

Looks like an average of $50 to $60, after paying $25 to $30 to get it slabbed, and 13% to ebay/paypal, so a sellers profit of $12 to $22 dollars. (I am assuming a zero cost of acquisition since they were a "free" item from the mint.)
