My guess is it looks like a chunk of something got in the way of the number 4 or 6 and didnt allow the full strike to occur. I see a phantom like image of a number but under where the number should be, there is that indent with kinda pushed metal. Possible?

Something getting in the way is called a struck thru. It looks like a 59 to me.

Difficult to tell in photos, but looks like a strike through. Good or bad, still a fun find.

I still see a 4 or 6.....but it was mentioned prior that it was a 9 possibly. I dont really think its a Mule....but before I sell it I think I need to be sure. Suggestions on a less expensive magnifying tool maybe? All I have is 4k camera and cell phone. Thanks! #128580;

I do not see a 9 at all. I see how it could be a 4, but still think a 6 is more likely.
