It's been a few years since I have ordered, but I never had an issue with long delays in shipping. Maybe things have changed do to the virus. Seems like all problems are blamed on the virus nowadays.

I've moved pretty much my entire collection over to Airtites and CAPS albums. I really like the way they look and the ability to customize pages. The only downside I see is that albums are relatively bulky and take up lots of space. I've gotten most of my supplies through Valley Coin. No complaints about wait times and communications from me. Sorry you had trouble JoeVet

I love CAPS albums, but the delay in shipping, especially on custom binders and pages is a pain. The owner of capsalbums.com & valleycoin.com is the same person. He also has an ebay store in which he sells his CAPS albums and pages, among other coin supplies. I have purchased over 24 albums, many custom varieties. They're great when you get them, but it's been a few months waiting for orders I placed long ago. The owner is a nice man, but I think he's overwhelmed with his coin store, his ebay store, and his CAPS albums website. It's too bad I don't live close to his shop. I would love to help the guy out.

Well I haven't been on this forum for a long time. In fact I only posted once over a year ago about CAPS Albums. I re-read my post and thought I must have been very "grouchy" that day. So I wanted to clarify my thoughs about CAPS Albums:
First of all, the albums are top-notch. It's a great way to protect your coins and still display them in an album rather than stored in a tube. I have over 30 albums now, many custom-made. The owner of the company has always gotten my orders to me. I talked to him personally on the phone many times. So I don't want to imply from my previous post that I was unhappy with the product. I wouldn't use any other album for my coins.
The delay in shipping I talked about in my previous post was because I had ordered custom binders and it does take a little longer to make them. The covid-19 pandemic caused even more delays I'm sure.
But I've always gotten my albums. So if I seemed a little harsh on CAPS Albums and the owner, I apologize. I didn't mean it that way.
Now that I got that off my chest, please consider giving CAPS Albums a try for your coins. I think you will like them.
Happy collecting everyone.

I'm very happy with my CAPS albums. I have two, 2228 and 2229 for my ASEs. Pretty sure there are pictures of them in one of the many links jbuck posted. I do need to order some new (custom?) pages/inserts to update my 2229 for recent ASE offerings. I very much like how the Innovation dollars look in your albumn, bzookaj. I'd be interested in a PDSS album. Question, and it has probably been answered in another topic, but can you see the edge-incuse mint marks through the Air Tites and the page plastic?

This image makes it look harder than it seems to see the edge lettering, but gives an idea. The proof PA edge lettering (front right) is easily visible.

So, I will give my input on Caps Albums. They are top quality, and I moved everything I have into them. I probably have 30 Caps Albums. I have talked the Craig multiple times over the years, and he is a great. As with any product, if you purchase enough, you will get a defective one. I have received a few pages that the plastic was cracked, a binder that was not riveted properly and a slipcase that had issues. He has always sent out a quick replacement, no questions asked and apologized for the mistake. I have ordered alot of custom binders, and they had been shipped within a reasonable time frame up to the pandemic. Well at the end of 2020, I placed an order for three custom binders and some blank pages. Well 3 months later and nothing, I called, talked with Craig who said with covid he was behind with the customs, but not to worry. Well, that order never processed. It wasn't anything I need right away. So, I re-ordered the exact order from 12/29/20 on 3/8/22 everything the same except the price went up $95.00. But as of today, I have never received that order either. (I was never charged for either order) So I don't know what going on with Caps Alums or Valley Coin, tried calling Valley a few times last week as I am ready for the albums I wanted, but got no answer. I am going to place one final order just for the custom binders today and see what happens. I have ordered the generic supplies on ebay from LCTcoinsupplies which I think is part of Caps/Valley but not sure about that. I will update as I receive my item's or not. Jim

Thank you for filling us in on your experience. I hope you get this issue resolved soon. I am sure like everything else there are supply chain and staffing issues affecting your order.

I see at least ten different threads here on CAPS albums. In fact, I landed on the forum after searching for information on them. However, the latest posts seem to have been made close to two years ago. Has the community soured on the format?
The first CAPS I bought is the Franklin Halfs with Proofs. I liked it enough to go in for my second book, Lincoln Wheats. I added to that book the first three pages from the Lincoln Memorial book, for a total of seven pages, which fit just fine. There might even be room for eight pages.
I like the presentation, especially for the Lincoln Cents. It displays the coins nicely!
For decades, I viewed Dansco as the best, the cream of the crop. But I had some issues with them in recent years. The lack of notch-outs for slide removal led to difficulties with a couple of the 40-year-old books. It was impossible to remove some of the slides without damaging the book! I also experienced separation or delamination problems on a few pages.
Most other manufacturers seem to have built-in solutions to the slide removal problem: notch-outs or tabs.

I was considering using one to house a third Ike set, but I have never gotten past their immense size.
