I think what others are seeing as wear is the strike. MS-61 to MS-63. I'll go 63

This is an unc coin all day long with a light strike. I see no wear on the breast at all, none, zip, nada. MS62 could push to 63 for the nice color if it was lighter I think but I'm betting it's a bit darker in hand so MS62 final answer.

Then again I could be completely crazy too!

I'm not a big fan of modern toned coins...but toning on classics is a different story and this is a perfect example!
Great job finishing off your halves with this one!
MS63 for me

Now this was an interesting one. A lot of people mistook weakness in strike for wear, or the high points being untoned for rub. However, the rims show no signs of actual wear nor do the stars. If you look at the obverse, the fold in the cap right above the L of LIBERTY is one of the highest points overall and is crisp and complete with no signs of wear. This is a very tricky coin.

Though we had 2 spot on answers and 1 that had the right range.

With this my half dollars type collection is complete. Capped Bust - date all BU and the Draped Half a very choice VF IMO. Now technically I am missing the flowing hair half, but personally I have a hard time justifying well into the 4 figure range for what I honestly think is the ugliest US coin ever produced for circulation.

Clearly, I have to pay more attention to the overall state of the coin and not just fixate on devices that "might" show wear.

Early halves are a real challenge to grade. That is a real beauty. Happy that I was close.

Very nice Grape that will be fine addition to your type set. And I got it right grade wise too. Guess I wasn't crazy on thinking it was uncirculated after all. LOL

On that front you were right lol. The goal has been, and still is, everything Capped Bust and forward MS.

Thanks Greasy!

It should be in tomorrow, and I plan to do something fun as a sorta celebration.
