1826 Capped Bust Half, Eye Appeal & (Under-)graded?

NumisEd Pillar of the Community United States 5192 Posts	Posted 02/02/2021 9:55 pm Thinking about the comment Grape made about buying under-graded coins with great eye appeal in the thread about his 1803 Large Cent, I came across this 1826 Capped Bust Half: https://www.greatcollections.com/Co...lar-NGC-F-12 Personally, I think it looks awesome and cannot understand why it is graded F12. GrapeCollects Pillar of the Community United States 8938 Posts	Posted 02/02/2021 10:02 pm It certainly might be a weak VF-20, but would likely detail due to the obverse cleaning and reverse scratches, instead they chose to net grade it to a F-12.
