Thinking about the comment Grape made about buying under-graded coins with great eye appeal in the thread about his 1803 Large Cent, I came across this 1826 Capped Bust Half: https://www.greatcollections.com/Co...lar-NGC-F-12
Personally, I think it looks awesome and cannot understand why it is graded F12. Am I missing something?
It certainly might be a weak VF-20, but would likely detail due to the obverse cleaning and reverse scratches, instead they chose to net grade it to a F-12. At least that's what I think.
Overall nice eye appeal, but the old obverse cleaning is distracting.... not a fan of hairlines. I'd agree with F12, and the upthread comments of a net grade.
