1234567890?
I figured I would have better luck guessing a number than searching for it any longer.

Not Really... It's right smack in the middle of the page and stands out very well. There were 22 pageloads yesterday that were 1 click away.

Thank you very much for a great contest. I sleep early, since I get up for work at 3AM EST, so I never expected the contest to still be open when I got home from work today. I sincerely hope the winner of my contest is as happy as the winner of yours. Email coming.

Grats!
I am willing to bet I was one of those 22 page loads. Must have sat here and clicked through 100 pages or more after the start of the contest.

First, I received the prize in today's mail, and I couldn't be happier about it. It's far and away the newest coin in my collection, and likely the most permanent. Thanks very much to bobby131313 for sponsoring the contest. It opened my eyes to just how much hard work has gone into this website, and strengthened my commitment to be the best possible contributor. To answer your question, KLD, I had the number in less than an hour. God has gifted me with the ability to process information pretty quickly, which, combined with the wonderful tabbed-browsing feature of Firefox, enabled me to see a whole lot of pages in a very short time. With Firefox, my center mouse button will both open and close a tab, so I can move pretty quickly. I started at the US Coin Histories link of the Navigation menu on the left, and tabbed open the first ten coin links in new windows. For each page which had links for each coin's year, I tabbed a dozen or so open at once in that window, and then checked and closed them each in turn. The Lincoln Cents were a bear. bobby131313 had mentioned the link was pretty prominent, so I didn't worry about the periphery of each page, just the copy unique to it. I have scroll wheels on both my mouse and keyboard, so I was scrolling with both hands to move through each page quicker. By the time I reached the winning page, I had seen every single page it was possible to link before it. This is the same technique I use on ebay, where I look at a couple thousand coins each week. If you want to be a profitable cherrypicker, it's what you have to do.

Hi Dave, I'm not sure how this happened, but I never congratulated you on winning this contest. Please accept my belated congratulations. I'm glad you like the set.

After reading your last post Dave, I've realised how unlucky I am once more. I got up at 4 am that night, first searched through every "first level" page. Then second level pages, and it was 6:30 when I searched through half of last level links which are pages for individual date coins, I got to work the rest was searched there but the result was none. After I saw that you have won, I checked the 1857 Seated Liberty half dime link, that was one of the three links I've missed to open Call it unluck, call it being careless, at the end it was fun being in that race. One again congrats!!
