Looking good! I noticed you have a bicentennial labeled as 1975-S Type 1. I know the Ikes could be differentiated (1975 vs. 1976) by the two varieties, but this concept for Kennedy is new to me. Or did you just pull that one from a 1975 proof set and call it good?

I'll have to get back home and look up the data I found and present it here for your consideration. If I'm wrong, then I'll then just fall back on just cracking open a '75 mint set and call it good.

Sorry to do a bump, Dearborn, but I was curious: Quote: If I'm wrong, then I'll then just fall back on just cracking open a '75 mint set and call it good. Curious if you decided to call it good? I did not crack my 75 proof set but obtained the non-bicentennial coins in the set individually, and cracked the 76 set for the Kennedy. But if there is info on a "75 Type I" Kennedy, then I must crack a 75 set, I think. BTW, this is the best detailed reference showing the Dansco pages in a reasonable resolution. Good reference, and I see someone else already asked about the 64 accented hair coin. Excellent collection!

Fantastic accomplishment, Dearborn! I admire your tenacity and dedication to completing your album.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

All bicentennial Kennedy half dollars are the same whether minted in 1975 or 1976. Only the Ike has two bicentennial varieties (aka Type 1 reverse, Type 2 reverse). The 1975 sets have variety 1, the 1976 sets have variety 2.

That's what I thought, but saw the dialog here. Thanks for confirming.

A beautiful collection mostly in Dansco albums, congratulations on your set. I long ago decided to not collect clad coins so I have all the silver options for the Kennedy halves but still in proof sets.

Thanks Muddler, I keep 2 collections - one in Dansco albums All are complete, but I'm working on some of them and upgrading the coins to all BU grades. The other are all in Mint OGP dating back to 1950 to present. In Silver Proofs, Clad Proofs, and uncirculated.
