@stv, first welcome to CCF. Second, I have the same question as @zurie. Both the Peace dollar and Morgan dollar should be exactly 1.500 inches in diameter. At least from your last pic, these three coins don't appear to be the same size. Can you please post diameters for them to this thread? Thx.

@Spence Unfortunately, this coin isn't in my possession anymore. It's with my LCS getting ready to be sent off for grading. These are the pics I took of it beforehand. So assuming that my LCS took a close look at it and tested it with a sigma machine before agreeing to take it in for grading, I'd wager that it is in fact legit.
Not too sure why you say the diameter is off, it's probably just the way it lays in my hand.

Agree, relative sizing across the three coins looks 'curious'.

Looks AU to me. But given the terminal toning, it's AU Details, ED. You're sending this one in for grading? No offense meant, but if I were your LCS I would have tried to talk you out of that one.

I agree with some sort of heat damage. Maybe sat in a hot attic? I'll go with an AU, but hard to tell any sort or detail or damage with the photos. I am very curious to see if the TPG will call it questionable color or environmental damage.

Totally agree with Ty2020b. What was your LCS rationale for sending the coin in for grading ?

No judgment on grading from photos provided. It is best to handle your coins on the edge with your index finger and thumb as your skin oil can tone a fingerprint image into the coin. As TY2020b noted it may not be cost effective to send the coin in for grading. The grading and shipping fees will cost about $40, and the 1900 Morgan is a common date that would need to grade MS64 or MS65 to recover the grading fees. Thanks for posting and keep us updated when the coin returns from the TPG.

Here's a slightly more detailed photo that I found on my phone if it helps.

It sure does! It looks way smaller than the peace and other Morgan.
