Worst case AU-58 "slider unc". If the cartwheel luster is there across all the devices, then MS-64 would not surprise.

Can't read the language, but certainly would not buy without full return privileges.

Thats actually a good point. Yes, the coin can be returned since it is a professional dealer. So I will post some hopefully better pictures once I have it.
Btw the pictures all look so dull because they are scanned, not taken with a camera.

the coin has the look of being dipped but may grade straight. could be the photos. when you buy a coin where its not certain that it wasnt messed with you always take a chance. having a return policy helps. this seller does not have a return policy. I would not even consider buying anything from them as the photos are not good enough to judge by
we will need to see this one in hand for final assessments
88(P)'s are typically average strikes so the hair around profile should be a little sharper. the leaves look like a little wear around the edges as well as the cotton balls and the wheat stalks looks like they have wear.
i think its AU58. at AU58 the coin has a full retail price of around $50 USD so if this is the correct grade then you overpaid a little. the coin would have to grade at MS62 for that price.
since you are fairly new at grading and assessing coins you can save yourself $$ by posting on CCF first prior to buying them

I believe this coin is probably Choice Uncirculated and a 'dipping' candidate. However the dull haziness might be from being dipped too many times! The coin appears to be very well struck, with very few hits. If there is underlying blast white luster coin could grade higher.

Cleaned - Luster broken on raised locations, probably wiped, right? Must have been quite gentle though, no scratches, luster in fields intact.
I see no wear though.
A coin that has been cleaned can not be rated MS any more?

Quote: A coin that has been cleaned can not be rated MS any more? A coin that has been cleaned can still be given a UNC Details Cleaned. The coin may of had an old cleaning and is now re-toning. My guess is that the coin is market acceptable and would straight grade.

i took a second closer look at this one and originally had it at AU58 details. the new sharper photo of the obv is better but still too much glare. I still think its overdipped but i'll give it an UNC details

Quote: Just wondering - do over dipped coins come back Details? all depends on 1. who is grading it 2. how much its been dipped(did they remove all the original surfaces) a little too much glare to determine if its overdipped. based on the obv photos yes based on the reverse no

Ok, I try again. Different lighting. Its very warm light (on my bedstand), so the orange hue comes from that.
