Sure, there are other good ones. Both Roosevelts, Kennedy, Adams, Washington. On the other hand no one faced adversity like Lincoln. It is interesting to note that he advocated government spending to create economic growth during recession as well. I think he would have been for the stimulus bill, but I am not trying to be political here. Just glad to have my order in for a brand new, proof commerative dollar coin.

I ordered mine from the website around 1:00pm Arizona time and did not have a problem at all. I oreded 2 of each.

Does anyone know when the 5 coin proof set, that includes 4 bronze cents, goes on sale?
All I've heard is "spring" and the limit is 50,000 sets! That could sell-out in the first 8 hours!

My "elite" list of presidents: Lincoln, Washington, Jefferson, Jackson, TR, Eisenhower, Kennedy. I know most of you would expect Reagan and certainly FDR. My rationale for not including them is that the benefits they reaped during their time in office required future generations to pay for them. FDR with SS and other spending programs and Reagan ramping up the National Debt.

I ordered mine around 3pm CST and had no problem (online) might have went overboard but got 10 proofs and 5 uncirc's...can dispose of half of them as b'day presents to grandkids if I have to, any way...I think it will be a good one down the road which probably means it is doomed to failure based on my previous experience in picking winners.

So, as I'm getting into this is something like this something I should buy right away? I see coin collecting as two fold 1. The fun part of looking for old and rare coins and 2. Getting new coins and putting them away. I've never looked into commemerative coins. Is this something that will appreciate in value?

Well I would drop FDR from that list, but the others were ok. Jefferson was solid. Andrew Jackson was alright.

In my opinion, and to my eye, the Lincoln $1 is one of the ugliest coins I've ever seen. Looks like many State Quarters, designed by committee. |

I have been collecting among other coins commemeratives, this coin is also a beauty and ordered a few myself, of course this is just my opinion, and we all have at least one,to each his own. LIFE IS GOOD!!

I ordered 2 about 3 weeks ago. I got the shipping confirmation and tracking numbers yesterday. Looking forward to seeing them.
