Thanks to everyone who has already weighed in, I agree the pictures make it look like it's been dipped dull but in hand it has some luster, not great but not as bad as the pics would lead you to believe. I'll take a few more here shortly and see if I can get a more natural look to the surface.

The luster is going to make or break this coin. Like panzaldi said, it is a weak strike for the year, but it is has very little contact marks. Any additional picture, better capturing luster will help be able to grade this one.

My feeling is it has been dipped. Looks unc to me. Not sure if the dip is enough to detail it by the pictures.
Hard to tell where it stands.

Ok, here are two linked higher res images in incandesant light, unedited except for the crop. They are zoomable by clicking on the image, hopefully these are an improvement but I'll admit I'm having a hard time getting the fields to show luster

The Sun is just now coming out for the first time today so I think I'll give that a try, thanks!

The coin is absorbed by glare from the light source, which makes it impossible to see any surface marks. Don't use a direct light reflection on the coin, and take the photo straight on.

Allright, one more try here, starting to think the problem might be with my camera settings but I'll get it right eventually. Appreciate everyone's advice so far and note the high resolution images are linked below.

the new photos show us different surfaces than the originals. another example as to how photos can skew the look of a coin or hide just about anything

Luster is there as compared to OP. Strike will hold this one to MS64 but overall a nice coin.
