As they are going in to circulation, if only by being released through the post office, then yes, I feel that I need to collect them, but preferably at face value. I have trading friends in other countries too that need them, so I get some nice overseas coins in exchange.

Quote: This set seems to be easy to get from the post offices. Our post office you can get as many as you want for face value. Yes, better to get them from the Post Office in relatively good condition rather then pick them up a little worse for wear in your change later on. I called in this morning and they were happy to give me one of each coin in exchange for $4 ... didn't even have to purchase anything!

I have to noodle them. Getting them from the post office would be cheating.

Dinosaurs and coins - great combination!

Neither - definitely bubblegum coins though.
I however will eagerly add them to my Hubba Bubba coin archives.
I do think the theme of Dinosaurs is so dated though, it was a monster (!!!) fad back in 1993.
They would be junk, if they minted like 200,000 each and charged like $39.95 + $10.05 shippage, postage, processification and pen wear fees per coin though.

What in God's name is a Soccerroo? You guys really trade on the Kangaroos don't you?
Its better than our Soccer teams name - The All Whites. So named as the Rugby team is the All Blacks.
The All Whites are famous for being pipped at the post by Costa Rica in the world cup qualifiers. NZers being the bad losers we are blamed dodgy refereeing as it was a penalty shoot out.

Not as good as your basketball team - The Tall Blacks.

Don't forget the Olyroos, Hockeyroos, Docceroos, Dingeroos, Jackeroos, Jillaroos, Boxaroos, Volleyroos, Finskaroos, Wallaroos, Iceroos and of course the Kangaroos. With you Kiwis being a big hockey nation am sure you must have played against the Hockeyroos. But yeah, I guess we do love our roos. Even the $1 coins is a MOR (Mob of Roos).
