Is 1885 - 1899 missing from the pictures?

Quote: Is 1885 - 1899 missing from the pictures? You are absolutely correct! Thanks so very much for bringing this to my attention. When I have a chance on Tuesday, I'll show the missing photo in a reply to this thread. Since 24 hours have passed since my initial post, I don't think I'll be allowed to swap photos in my OP. Steve

Since 24 hours have passed since my initial post, I don't think I'll be allowed to swap photos in my OP. I wanted to get a look at that disgraceful 1890 that you mentioned . (it's probably nicer than my best example ) It's a beautiful set, probably some of the very best examples of the series all in one place. It strikes me that this set would have been much work to assemble even as a contemporary set - i.e., in the 1859-1909 period as the coins were being minted. It is a humbling thought that multiple people - collectors - pulled these coins aside and they survived all these years in their current condition. Without that, we current collectors have nothing to collect. Most coins in our collections have taken a long and winding path to us. That's pretty cool.

Thanks for your kind words. If you go to my original post, click on the hotlink that will then bring you to my Registry set on the PCGS website. You can then click on any photo, and you will then be able to see three photos of each coin, along with the True View if there is one.

Since my Original post is older than 24 hours, here's the "missing" photo, showing coins dated 1885 - 1899: These slab photos do NOT show good detail of the coins themselves. To see those better coin photos, click on the below hotlink. Once at my PCGS Registry page, click on any of the photos, and you can then see three photos for each coin, as well as a True View if there is one. You will also see my comments on the right side. https://www.PCGS.com/setregistry/ha...edset/266583Steve

Thanks so VERY much to my good friend @hfjacinto, who very willingly gave his time to getting all four of these photos sizable for posting on this forum, so all of you can see the slabs as a group.
Thank you my friend!!!!

Just an amazing set, it is hard to imagine the work in finding these great examples, but I am sure enjoyable work and a good feeling in putting it all together, thanks for sharing.

@jbuck, thanks for swapping the duplicate group photo on my original post with the correct one.
Thanks to everyone for your VERY generous comments. I readily sense the enthusiasm you express for the joy and enthusiasm I had in putting this unique set together.
Thank YOU!
Steve
