I don't know what my actual first purchase was but here are a few from my short-lived LCS phase around 1972. I bought the 3c because I thought it was cool. The rest were all common and whatever I could afford from lawn mowing money. I was earning $5 for mowing acre-sized lawns, so spending $3.75 on one coin was a big deal. I've never sold a single coin so I still have all of them.   |

This was my first coin I ever purchased and it was this coin that started my collecting journey and I think a paid almost $100 for it.  |
