Also, didn't the submitter have to pay extra for the gold shield and extra for the label designation on top of the normal grading/slabbing fee? John1  |

That reminds me of how my current project right now is to carry around two reprocessed 1943 steel cents as pocket pieces, to try to wear the "reprocessing" off and expose the original cents for what they're worth.

There's a guy on Facebook right now that posted this and swears it's not plated. He says he took it to a dealer and he agrees. He says the US mint has been pulling them out of circulation and "polishing them back to original specs." Swears because of that PCGS will grade it.  Frustrating or hysterical? Who knows.  |
