Oh boy, I can see it already,
"2025 rev of 2024"
Just throwing this out there, in regards to the 2008 rev of 07, to me that isn't an error,
it's a variety. 40,000+ isn't an error.
An error is A coin.

@Dan,

I agree a "variety" is a better description. I don't collect either errors or varieties so its a moot point for me

Well Done hfjacinto, I too have Never heard of the Term Your using, the Book is W/E. I simply, and maybe others Too, Always called the Letter a Capital, that is what it is, No ? ....

Terms evolve and People use the language they Know.. What year dictionary are you getting the description or Definition from, I am not disagreeing, I just Never heard the term, Before this post... PS, John, You Too,

Me too. However. I did finally yield to myself and bought the 08 rev 07. I had "every other ASE" and didn't like adding the "oh except" all the time. The last 2 were this one, and I also bought the Canadian Pride set, even tho I had the US set. It's a very complete set of OGP coins and sets. I even started a fb page

@Dan,

Very nice! Dearborn also has a complete set. I have too many collections that I work on every year to do a complete ASE set, but I get an ASE when I can and sometimes 2 :)

John,

No I don't have the 2008 rev 2007 (3rd lowest mintage). My ASE collection is more what I can find locally at a good price and I have only 1 "burnished" ASE. With all the fakes and bad pictures I am leery buying ASE on the internet. Most fakes aren't as obvious as the op posted.

Or maybe it was an error, that created a variety. In Joshua Hernandez ASE guide, the decender is refered to as a "stem".

In the end stem or descender all mean the same thing.

which is why I'll only buy ASE's in OGP *AND* from only sellers that I trust (bought from in the past and had great results) or in Slabs. I get my Burnished from locally sourced establishments (my local coin store).

@ Eagle - just had to mix it up, didn't ya? lol

My point is, to the semantics, of the words we all use. We often say/mean the same things, we just use different words to express it. Just my two cents/or 2/1 oz ASE's.
