Probably common Mercury dimes as a little kid, ironic that I own very few of them today. ( edit: I just remembered my first coin that I remember wanting and still have is actually not a coin but a lead cast counterfeit 1927 SLQ that my grandfather made during the depression. I inherted it from my Dad.) My most recent coins purchased were two BU Jefferson nickels with steps, a 1952 S and a 1953 S.

My first were a few Spanish 5 peseta coins that my father gave me. The first coin that truly became part of my collection was a 1942 Wheat cent that I found on the ground. This coin was what started it all. My most recent acquisition is an 1806 Mexican 8R in VF (chops).

My first coin was an 1854 Seated quarter that I got from the tooth fairy for my first front tooth I lost as a kid. Turns out it was the same quarter my dad got for his first lost front tooth so I ended up giving it to my son when he lost his. He still has it, no kids for him yet. My most recent was a 1957 Franklin I got in change at the local bagel shop last week, they set "odd coins" aside for me whenever they get one. Not a bad deal, gave them $4.25 for a cup of coffee, a bagel and a silver half worth $4.

The first coin I collected was a 1921 toned Mercury dime. The latest acquisition is a 2 Euro from Italy.

My first coin in the collection was a US Philippines 1908S one peso from my mom before I inherited the collection of my dad. My last purchase was not really a purchase but an exchange from US coins to euros. I was doing an errand for a CCF member today and someone heard me look for US coins, he wanted his $6.10 in coins change to euros but they only wanted to give him 1 euro for it. He offered it to me for 2.50 euros and I got it. In it was a 1964 silver dime.
