When my grandma died, after her funeral, we were visiting with my grandpa, who lives in Northern NM and is of Apache decent, told me and my mom, to come back in 2 months for his service. Sure enough, he passed. Broken heart are my thoughts. They were married over 60 years.

Admittedly I have not been here in awhile. Very sorry to hear about your Mom. I just got the news my Dad passed away today but we were expecting it. God bless you and your family.

I thank you so much for such a beautiful statement upon my moms passing. It means the world to me..you all do, each and every CCF member here.

I've lost both my parents. Miss them every day. My condolences to you and yours. Remember and keep the good memories and good times - it helps.

Man I don't know you, but am sorry!! Sounds like she may have still had her mind, which is always good! Lost my 95 yo grandmother (the grandmother that lived at the end of driveway, always cooked Sunday dinner, and had all 5 of us rugrats a snack everyday we got off bus, as she lived at the end of our driveway!!
However, dementia has been slowly taking my dad away, after his stroke of the brain stem? Or from brain stem, I'm no Dr, but it didn't sound good and has proven to be worse than it sounds!! Mix that in with the dementia, he's just not the same person, not my dad!!
All that to say, enjoy the time you have with your parents/grandparents, if you still have em!! Watching your dad deteriorate like this is the most stressful, sad, miserable, depressing situation, I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy
