I think it just makes F12, better than many VG08 I see. Should be somewhere between $900 and $1500 in today's market. These aren't hard to find, just getting a really nice one (solid for the grade, certified and free of issues) can be difficult though. Looks like this one fits the bill for you.

That's a Fine one, pristine - infinitely better than the '89 CC that I don't have!

the small dig under the U is not a big deal. I was bouncing between F12 and F15. if the scratches are on the holder, which it looks like, I think the overall sharpness of the denticles, lettering and date along with the clean cheek and neck could push it over the line to F15 so thats my grade

Such a terrible example! Tell you what. For no charge whatsoever, and I will even allow you to pay shipping, you can send it to me and I will make sure you never have to endure seeing this coin again. Whatta' yuh' think of my offer?

Nothing shappy about this acquisition! Congrats!

I really like this coin! It has the textbook appearance you want in a lower grade Morgan. Great buy!

Thanks all.

FYI: it wasn't cheap, alas -- $1200 -- but it could have been worse.
