Quote: I read some where that King Charles III was about to release a note with his image on a note soon. Well, the Bank of England releases the notes with the image of KCIII. Not the King Here you can see how the King gets his set of notes: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-68769481By the way, nice £1 note

Very nice example @Dearborn. I really like the design & wanted one with the first signature too. Here's mine: A part of me wants to get my 1£ graded & another part is on the fence. Anyway, now I would like to get a good example of each of the first 3 denominations (5£; 10£ & 20£) for the QEII polymer series before the KCIII versions arrive.

very nice note walk2dwater - I agree with you - I wanted the first signature one also (before the cost of getting one goes up) Quote: now I would like to get a good example of each of the first 3 denominations (5£; 10£ & 20£) for the QEII polymer series before the KCIII versions arrive. Same here, I would like them all too - but after doing a search, I had a hard time in determining which ones were the 'first' ones for the higher denomination notes

They were my favorite £1 notes as nice Uncles and Aunts would send me one at Christmas tucked into a card. I pulled this A-prefix one from circulation around 1978 when these were being replaced by the smaller Newton type:

Yet, I give it a try for the polymer notes: £5: signature Victoria Cleland, begin with prefix AA £10: signature Victoria Cleland, begin with prefix AA; the first ones with signature of Sarah John begin with prefix DJ £20: signature Sarah John, begin with prefix AA (there are no polymer notes with Cleland's signature) £50: signature Sarah John, begin with prefix AA (there are no polymer notes with Cleland's signature) Did you mean this?

@Redrock: I wasn't referring to any particular material the notes were printed on, I was just hoping to find a first year issue note of each that carried QEII's image on it.
