Congrats, I agree it looks nicer than the seller's pics. Should look great in your Dansco!

OK - after spending a few days admiring it in the slab - it has been cut out and placed in the 8100 Album Here are some better images of it before placement (out of the slab) and looking at it closer - I think that the 'carbon spots' may just be tiny laminations (maybe?)

Very nice, and that 1909 VDB looks like a stunner too.

@Dearborn Congratulations, I am always too scared to crack a coin out of a slab but honestly this coin looks fantastic and agree with others who say it looks better than in the slab (probably the slab had some light scratches). It is just a really nice naturally toned coin and is perfect in an album, And because it has toned to brown so nicely, it will remain pristine in the album. I wish I was that brave with some of my 1 yen stuff but the way things are going in that market, anything cracked out might not get graded again as the Chinese are pushing super hard on ultrahigh quality real silver fakes

Thanks Mano - I did have to do some soul searching before I cracked it out...

Not my choice, but appreciate the "hole-filling" compulsion. A powerful impulse, but not always a wise decision.
