I believe those are the dreaded "milk spots". Not sure I'd do the bath; pretty big gamble for a $100 coin.

Hey let me ask you all. Do you think the capsules changed? For one, when I was popping the capsule open to verify if the steaks I have were the capsule or coin, I realized the coin actually rattled a little in the capsule. Typically they are a tight fit. Second, I think others have noted the capsule comes out of the clamshell a little easier. Making me think the capsule and clamshell both had a minor refit/resize done. Third, I had a mint survey sent to me early in the week. I did the survey and they seemed to ask a lot of questions about the OGP.

I have noticed in the last few months that the coins I receive rattle inside the holder. These coins are not only from the mint but online vendors and ebay sellers. I always keep a supply of Air-Tite capsules in 38, 39 and 40mm and I seldom have a loose fit issue like I do with these new capsules.

Thanks Gary, A Perfect A S E Threesome.... Jbuck, I checked Prior to the release, it was not listed. I ordered a San Francisco minted ASE. Well over the week end Two San Francisco released ASE's were delivered. I Rechecked and the Subscription was Listed, ..... Not a Terrible problem.

The pair I received yesterday did not display either issue, Gilly. No rattling of coins in the capsules and I had to use a lever to pry the capsules out of the flocked holder in the clamshell, as I usually do; don't have the pinch power in my fingers any more. One more SF mintmark proof ASE to go for 2025. . .the Navy privy.
