And I know how it must have happened.
I had tubes with BU dimes from 1946 to 1960.
When my daughter was a pre-teenager she stole many and used them to buy stuff for herself. She did not know they were not just dimes.

to CCF.

I don't find much money on the job I do (construction)

But I was part of a remodel of an old jewelry store. - after the old owner was long gone, I examined the area where the counter used to be and found a few small diamonds..

Excellent!

It has been around 35 years since I worked retail and had access to a cash register. I know I filled many holes in my albums back then.

Been many years since I've received any silver dimes or quarters in change!

20 is, indeed, a bunch! It is also 20 more than I have found in the past, well, long time.

20 silver dimes = $2.00 face, or lets see if I can do math this early..

a silver dime weighs 2.5 grams
Silver is selling for 27.46 per ounce
2.5 grams = 0.08 ounce
so 20 dimes x 0.08 oz = 1.6 ounces of silver
So, 1.6 x 27.46 (spot) = $29.06

Not a bad haul for a 'bunch' of dimes.

Nice silver score. I used to work at a gas station/convenience store in the 1970's and I would typically pick out the War Nickels. I think I have over 200 of them stacked somewhere.
