That is a very nice coin, yes it has been cleaned which is not good but still in great shape, do not let it go cheap. If it has an error please tell us what you see and take out of 2x2 when taking pictures. Hopefully, we can help you and thanks for sharing your coin with us.l

Quote: Mixed messages on this coin. I love it. Some say its face value very common coin- others say it's a staple of American history. Thoughts? Anybody ever suggest a possible added mm?

On the matter of cleaning, I'd need to see the coin in-hand to offer an assessment--not really seeing anything given the images posted. That mint mark does look curious. Again, another thing to examine more closely.

Quote: Anybody ever suggest a possible added mm? That was my concern too because around the mm is virtually the only region on the coin that isn't blast white.

Who says a 32-S quarter is worth face value? Just make sure it isn't a "modified" mint mark coin.

Now that the glare is gone, (thanks for the new pictures) I can not say if it has been cleaned or not. Still wondering what you see as an error?

Pics range from brown to silver. Who knows what this actually looks like?

I agree pictures are just not good enough to see what's going on here.

Quote: comes from a reputable coin store who wouldn't seek ask me fake. Translation please! And the pictures seem just a little bit out of focus to hide the hairlines from a cleaning but you can still see them even the 4th one down in the set of new pictures you posted.
