Nice find! I had to go back to an earlier post where I had die chips in KA but they were different from yours so maybe I don't have to dig the coin out for another look.

I'm with Arby - I see it as MD - no split serifs noted.. I guess I have to learn this one too..

Quote: Sorry I only see MD on this coin, what am I missing? Extra thickness and distortion is the most obvious tell here (the P in PLURIBUS shows this the best). I can understand how the separation can be confused with MD. There are split serifs here, but they are not especially easy to see. On this example the bottoms of the RIB in PLURIBUS seem like the easiest ones to spot. On VDDR-001, the tops of AMERICA seem to have the best splits.

Congratulations Gigi and thanks to Tanman for pointing out the areas of thickness and separation.

Super discovery Gigi2110! I notice that the K and A in Kanaka appear to either contain die chips or are circulation hits. Any idea what these may be? If these are die chips that would be a significant marker for this variety.

Good afternoon everyone!! Hope you all are doing well!! arby96 and Dearborn thank you for come and see my thread and give your opinions, always appreciate it. Hope Tanman2001 give the answer to your question about whether this coin is DDR or MD, I also am uploading some images with arrows pointing where the notch and spread are in this coin, I hope you can see it. Thank you Tanman2001 for your explanation, I thought the doubling was just in the initial RG, E-Pluribus and the big E that is next but, but thanks to your explanation I checked the images very well again, now I can see that ther are also noticeable notching on unum and I believe on some of the letters of Unite States Of America too, not easy to spot in USA but happy to know there are some notching there. Thank you jbuck, Petespockets55 and mb560600!! yes mb560600 I believe those are die chips, apart of that I see two another marks that will be very helpful, I pointed them in this images
