at least from this seller, was the 1939 D. I believe it was around 90 dollars.
MS66 is $100 according to the link I gave you.So if you buy from him make sure it grades MS66.

That will probably be my last purchase of the series, being the most expensive.

As an example of my earlier point, I just purchased this PCGS MS65 1943-D nickel for $18.50. Excellent seller pics, professionally graded, no surface issues, under twenty bucks.

Thanks everybody for the suggestions and help!

I took a trip today to the Jewelry and coin dealer near me. I found some pretty decent looking silver War Nickels. I was able to get a 42-S, 43-P, 43-D, and a 45-P for around 25 dollars for the four.
They all looked pretty good to me. Honestly, this was so much better than buying them on ebay, and I can actually see what the coin looks like.

I sent back the coin that I originally purchased from ebay and was refunded. They also had a 39-D for around 10 dollars, which I wish I would have bought. It wasn't like MS or anything like that, but still looked pretty good. Buying coins on ebay seems to be better IMO when buying coins in sets, as opposed to singly.

Sure!

So, it cost around 27 dollars for the four coins. Overall, I walked out spending 43 dollars for a ton of coins. The others were all non silver nickels.

I think they look pretty good. Much better than the 1944-P I bought from ebay. The 1942-P War Nickel in this shot is from a bank roll find, not purchased.

Excellent. That is a set of good looking coins, particularly that 1942-S. Glad it worked out for you! =)

Thanks! The place that I went to literally just had a box of Jefferson nickels to go through at various different prices and conditions. These are the ones that I picked out that I liked the most, as well as a few other non silver nickels that were pretty decent for the price.

To be honest, for as easy as this was, it basically kind of makes searching for what I'm looking for in coin roll hunting irrelevant or unnecessary now personally.

Well, you CRH for the fun of it. But you are hilariously unlikely to find a MS or AU War Nickel in a $2 roll from the bank.
