Thank you! I think for now, I might have possibly put this kind of set on the back burner.

I have, however, recently acquired my Whitman type set album and got to work on it.

I decided to crack open my slabbed 1970-S. It was a sacrifice I was willing to make.
Thinking-About-Starting-A-

This is what I got so far... I'd love to have really super duper high class coins. Maybe eventually.
Thinking-About-Starting-A-

These probably won't be my final choices in cents besides the IHC.

Nickels

Dimes are meh. I've been sitting on this silver 57 dime for ages now though and haven't had an idea of what to do with it.
Thinking-About-Starting-A-

This random dateless Standing Liberty quarter that someone gave me at work that I also haven't known what to do with, but didn't want to get rid of it.

I was also lucky to get sent the newer version with the updated page to accommodate the Crossing the Delaware and Women's quarter.

Looking good. Since it will be on the back burner you can take your time and find the best grade that your budget will allow to slowly fill the holes. Maybe like one every few months. Just take your time and don't just settle for cheapest just to fill a hole. That way you're not constantly upgrading it. At least that is how I would do it.

Every time I see this Type album makes me want to start one. But I must resist, I have way too many irons in the fire already. Gotta control that shiny new coin problem.

Thank you, friends!

I think the most expensive coins to fill in will most likely be the Morgan dollars and probably Barber half dollars.

They are not that bad. But then again, compared to the earlier dollars required for the 7070, nothing is.

Good luck!

100%, very wise advice!

I always thought a complete 7070 (no gold) was out of reach for me. This guys video inspired me to start one and complete it several years ago. I did a virtual set on paper first. To my surprise, I already had over 75% of the coins in my collection.

Marc Ingram, that looks pretty awesome.

And nah, I abandoned the idea. Honestly, I lost interest in it. I think what I will do is since I have a Dansco coin stock album, add some coins to it that I don't feel like collecting entire sets of. This makes more sense to me and adding all coins to it that I don't have spots for anywhere else.

For example, I'd like to get my hands on some various different half dollars, but they are a bit out of reach for me in terms of collecting the entire set. I could add a few specimens of each to this 2X2 album and call it a day.

Well, a complete 7070 set is not for everyone, but making a custom Dansco album of just random coins you have is a good idea as well.

I had that problem with the Seated dollars. It took me a long time but I got there.
