I'm not seeing it.
You do not have to see it, but it happened.

And for record... The moon landing. I was not there. I was in utero. But I know it happened. And yes, our Earth is an oblate spheroid. I have not been beyond the Kármán line to see it. But I know it is true.

I just can't agree to that just to make other people happy.
You do not have to. Trust me, no one is losing sleep over this. At least I am not. But I am over other things. Other very bad things going on. But not this.

Lets just agree to disagree or will I be kicked off the sight for that

When we talk about 'doubled dies' we sometimes look for 'split serifs' and I se exactly that on the dot between the E and P - we sometimes call it a 'Snowman dot' to almost complete circular dots, connected.

And THAT is good enough for me.

I have been studying and reading about coins since the 70's and have been disagreeing with crap like this for fifty years.

jasper62, I would say you need to go back and take the class again. You failed the 1st time. The people here are some of the best experts on doubled dies you will find anywhere on the planet. Not one of them has even begun to agree with your assertions. Not trying to make you mad, but you really need to put your pride aside and learn from these very knowledgeable people.

I would have to agree with you, jasper62, that's a lot of time you have had to study to still not know what a doubled die is....

And you wouldn't see it unless you've actually seen a doubled die in person. I haven't, and 99% of collectors and numismatists haven't. All we've seen are coins struck with a doubled die. Big difference.
