Thanks for the insight, everyone, I too have a spread sheet that includes mintages, purchase date, purchase price, how it is kept (OGP, capsule, slab, graded, display, etc...), and notes for each coin if needed. I like the idea of adding the mint issued pricing (thanks cptbilly) I did have all the bullion coin in a Dansco album but changed them over to capsules in a binder.
I will add the 2010 to my must keep stack. However, the more and more I read I'm convinced. I will be keeping each bullion year in the collection.

I one each of every bullion issue in a Lighthouse Volterra box in a Guardhouse capsule, including the 2 privy marked bullion issues. I started a new box this year, the first one is full. I think holds 40 ASEs. I do have a PDF available that I made with every individual release and every set made with an ASE in it, which is what my set consists of. Has production numbers and original costs.

Quote:How many of you that collect ASE's include the bullion coins in your collection? I don't separate any of my ASEs. They are stored together in boxes. If they come in OGP they stay in OGP. If they come loose then they go into plastic coin capsules and a small zip-lock baggie. When I started collecting ASEs in December, 2019 I did not set any goals to complete any type because I was new to collecting and did not know what all was out there. When I found them at a good price I bought them. While I do not have every mint mark I have multiple Proof, Certified and BU from every year they were produced. The BUs includes 3 burnished coins from each year and a few burnished MS-70s. I also have 33 ASEs in special sets like the Limited Edition Silver Proof Set, 2011 25th Anniversary 5 coin box set, the 2016 Ronald Reagan Chronicles Set, etc. There are pictures of all of these coins on my American Silver Eagle Collection page.

Footnote: I keep a paper copy of the spreadsheets with the two collections. If I get hit by a bus, my sole heir will have a guide to the value and which of the ASE's are the most valuable. . .

I have an in-depth spreadsheet for my coins that has complete data on purchase date, cost, and storage location. I also have a PDF file of every purchase as well as a printed (on paper) copy in my files for future reference..

Per the NGC Registry, there are 127 silver eagles in a complete set. I have all except the 1995-W in certified condition. Raw unc coins, including the two privy coins, are in a Lighthouse silver eagle binder with two extra pages. All my certified silver eagles (1986 to current) are stored in 4 Lighthouse (?) wooden 50 coin boxes. I have about an even split between grade 69 and 70 certified coins.

Quote:2025 was a brutally expensive year for ASE collectors and I'm hoping there are fewer issues in 2026. Yes it was.... so many releases.

That is no small achievement.A true Red Book complete American Silver Eagle collection, year-by-year and variety-by-variety, puts you in rare company. This is the kind of set most collectors talk about but never finish. It's refreshing to see someone who stayed the course and did it the right way. Congratulations on a landmark collection.
