I don't think it's as bad as most think on here. I go with an MS63.

a little weak on the breast and ear area for this year. a good amount of luster is remaining. some scuffs in the fields and quite few small marks on the cheek. with the weak strike and the other marks on the breast. i'd say its MS62+ the luster might bump it at a TPG to 63

I see a lot of soft pics that get much higher grades than what I got, I would really rather know a true grade, not what I want....

you're correct. if youre posting a coin for assessment you want the best representation of what the coin looks like in hand. grading by photo is not that easy. in fact, one tip would be to not use any overhead lighting that can cause glare. it creates shadow areas and obscure surfaces. if you cant use natural light use at least 2 light sources on either side that would then offset each other and eliminate most of the shadows

We are presently renovating our main level of the house and living in the basement, when we get back upstairs, I will have plenty of natural light to work with.

Oh do I identify with this right now! My office and library is now partly a bathroom and partly added to a storage room to make a new bedroom. My books are packed in boxes in the barn. The bedroom looks a lot like the former family room. My temporary office is in the middle of a former bathroom that is somehow going to become part of the new kitchen. The temporary kitchen is in a travel trailer parked next to the house.

We just have a small ranch, so hopefully it will not be much longer. Having things displaced like that makes something as simple as taking coin pics a chore though.

Imma go with 63 here. Maybe some light moisture in the air where it was stored obverse down, saying that because the faint light brown toning on reverse.
