CACG is the only honest & consistent TPG out there IMHO

Not sure what a gold CAC sticker on a CAC slab would indicate

Quote:
It means, CAC now believes the coin deserves a higher grade than what's on their own holder.

That is incorrect. CAC only stickers PCGS/NGC slabs. CAC does not sticker their holders as they already meet
CAC standards. If a CAC graded coin is considered high end for the grade a + will be added to the numerical grade.

I double agree. A CAC graded coin is supposed to be equivalent to a PCGS / NGC coin with a green sticker. There is no gold sticker on a CAC graded coin.

I ordered an older walking liberty in a cac slab that says "WitterBrick" on the holder. Not sure what that means. It's a AU58 and has the little green cac sticker/logo on the slab. I don't have it yet or is post pics. Anybody know what WitterBrick indicates?

Witter Brick is a blind box scheme from Witter Coin of SF.

Thanks for the info on the label. Well I certainly can't afford one of those boxes and I think if I were to spend that kind of money I would want to pick out and see the specific coin(s). There must be people out there who buy them though since I've come across several with the label and had wondered what it meant! Have you noticed if it typically affects the price? As long as it's in a CAC holder, I would think that is a pretty good indication the coin is graded properly.

LibertyEagle20, why would ANYONE pay extra for a label that says the first purchaser was an idjit?

Appears to be a very nice AU58 and I am sure it is as CACG and PCGS/NGC are in agreement on the grade.

This is true only if you believe that CACG's view is the only one. There are plenty of dealers and collectors who have different opinions...

But that's what makes a horse race.
