That is indeed special. I would enjoy learning the TPG grade opinion - I'm thinking VF range and amazed that the coin circulated this long.

Off metal planchet error is something else, probably been circulated for a bit before someone spotted.

For grade I'm thinking either VF or XF. Some TPGs account solely for detail (Which I would say around VF25-30), whereas some account for a weaker strike. (For which I would say like VF35-XF40)
This one seems to have a relatively good strike for instances of these, so I would say VF25-VF30.

PCGS had this graded at AU-50.

Interesting, I probably should have accounted for the strike a lot better.I suppose that makes more sense given the design left.

Would be fun to see a pic or two of the full holder. Thanks!

Here ya go, gold shield for counterfeit protection. PCGS has none in higher grade for this year/mint.

Question for the Lincoln Cent experts. PCGS info page on this coin shows there are no higher graded 1951 p with this error. When looking for similar coin's there are a good amount of 1951 Ds with this error but I only saw a couple 51 ps that were xf details. I did read 1951 p is rare with this error as they all are in general. I know other tpgs might have this coin graded as well but Is there a chance this could be the top condition for this year/mint out there?
