Quote:Other than the King of the 1c DDO's my favorites are 1963 25c FS-101 Well, if we are talking about Kings, I did luck up on a $30 purchase of an 1878 P Morgan dollar with horrible pics on the bay, but went ahead and bought it. Turns out it was the King of VAMs, and is still my avatar on the bay. it was in horrible condition and still got around $550 out of it, wish I had not sold it now, many years later.... The 1936 1¢ FS-101 or Type I is also a strong one....and more scarcer than the 1955 1¢ FS-101, w/ fewer than 300 examples known to exist.

Great topic to see great examples. It kind of depends on the individual collectors definition of "Best". How about the 1942/41 Mercury dime.
