Thanks for comments on this one.
Looking for attribution thoughts as well if anyone has any.

Maybe it is a later die stage than what is listed?

There are a lot of 1957-D BIE coins with a similar reverse die crack but I didn't see any match in Cohen.

Nice BIE, Greg! I like it for LDB4-1957D-026 4SF. Looks like the die scratches above LIBERTY, around the 1 and 9 match and the mm location looks good. No mention of the die crack on the reverse but yours could be a different die stage or the reverse may have been changed out. Pretty sure the obverse is a match though. Nice work Jon! that looks like a match. Cross references: Cohen 57D-B514, Hardy 57D-4SF-2 I now ask, would this be a new listing/progression? Certainly the reverse crack has appeared or progressed greatly. It looks like the BIE has progressed slightly in size. Progressing slightly below the E and very slightly above.

I would think so, seeing how it probably has a much more progressed reverse. And seeing how it was JC's find, he would be able to easily verify this, I would think.

Yours looks like earlier die state so I think you're right that the reverse die probably failed and was replaced. Might be a good progression listing on CoC.
